Pick His Brain!

I’d like to introduce one of our members, David Sharpe, for our next ‘Pick His Brain’ session and I want to thank him for the participation.

David is a 15 year veteran of digital marketing with various successful ventures.

For the last 2.5 years, David and his co-founders have been working on Adzooma, a technology-led marketing platform for Google ads.

He is currently heading up the beta platform for agencies, which allows small to medium sized agencies onboard, manage, and scale client accounts with fewer man-hours.

You can test drive the platform for free during the beta test stage.

If you have any questions about growing your agency or Google Ads, feel free to pick his brain.

Here are the rules.

1) I’ll let the thread go on until he asks me to stop. Theoretically, this thread can continue until the FaceBook stock value goes to zero.

2) Please, no snarky remarks. I will not tolerate any intentional negativity. We are here to learn from each other’s success and strategies.

3) Please do not PM him and bother him. If you have a private question, ask for his permission on this thread when appropriate.

How is your platform compared to what’s out there in the market such as PPCSamuari?

At the moment, as we are in Beta I would say we are close to, but slightly behind the market leaders – however we are accelerating fast.

Our largest department in the company is the development team, and they are focused on developing the tools that agencies want, not what we think they want.

That’s why this Beta is so important to us, and why we are keen to engage with agencies now.

From 1 to 10, what Google Ads knowledge level should use your platform?

I believe that we will add value to any agency from 1 to 10.

A larger agency may have enterprise clients with more complex attribution strategies.

But that doesn’t mean that some of the other reports and optimisations won’t be useful in supporting that strategy.

Or save them time implementing that strategy.

That being said – our target market is the small to mid-sized Agency as we believe that’s where we can have the biggest Impact.

And help agencies to grow by reducing the man hours it takes to manage each client.

During the Beta, we are focusing on the suggestions that will help the greatest number of clients.

Which I think will lead towards supporting more small-to-medium sized agencies too.

Any plans to roll this out to Bing and Yahoo?

Yes – FB integration is the next platform on the Development road map though!

How is your platform different/similar to something like optmyzer or opteo? Is there an agency beta sign up page?

I would say that we are slightly behind some of our competitors in certain areas such as rule setting and reporting.

However, before developing these features and tools any further we want to reach out to the community to find out what agencies really want.

Not what we think they want.

We want to develop tools that are going to help you fix your pain points and truly help you scale your business.

There is a Beta registration page yes: https://www.adzooma.com/agency

I Need help with my adwords account. I large website. Would this be any use to me?

This particular Beta is more aimed for Agency owners/people managing multiple accounts I’m afraid.

What does your Adzooma do? I know nothing about this kind of software… so can you explain it to me like I’m a total noob to this?

Adzooma Agency makes it easier for Agencies to onboard, manage and optimise multiple clients.

The tools we have developed are split into 3 main areas:

Improve performance – identify ways to increase your impressions, clicks and conversions.

Reduce Wasted Spend – highlight poorly performing areas of your account and where you should divert that spend to for better ROI.

Account Structure and Best Practices – implement correct account structure and best practice to optimise performance.

85% of the recommendations are actionable on client accounts with a click of a button, and the rest are still actionable in one control panel.

Giving you a single, simple area to easily manage and report on multiple accounts.

I’ve always wanted to see how effective AdWords would be. I’d like to try it out.

Google Ads can be pretty effective! The Beta is mainly for Agencies and PPC Managers at the moment though.
